Huge talent agency YMU is hemorrhaging A-list stars, including the X Factor judge and an iconic boy band

Huge talent agency YMU is hemorrhaging A-list stars, including the X Factor judge and an iconic boy band

INDUSTRY whispers tell me all is not well over at YMU – with the once-massive talent agency hemorrhaging a host of big-name artists.

Since Amanda Holden’s husband, Chris Hughes, a former manager, left the company last year, I’m told a number of musicians have decided to jump ship.

They include Take That as well as X Factor winner James. Arthur and talent show judge Nicole Scherzinger.

My insider said: “YMU has had some big releases recently and it’s becoming the speech of the industry.

“They say Take That is going backwards, with James and Nicole.

“When Chris left it really caused a stir and people were talking about James and Nicole following him to his house. following adventure.”

When I first started in the industry, YMU were real heavyweights – the kind where if you sent an email they would clear you. . . no matter what you ask.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were previously on their booksas well as BGT judge Amanda, who left last year.

YMU also lost Gabby Logan and Claudia Winkleman, and I’m sure the final departures will be just as painful for business.

I would email them about it but I doubt I’ll ever get a response.

Tour, damn, Katy

KATY PERRY looks better than ever, which serves her well for her return to the stage.

Tickets for The Lifetimes Tour went on sale yesterday and she has already added a second date at London’s O2 Arena due to huge demand.

The American star, posing in a barley outfit there at instant above to promote his UK jaunt next year, announced his tour exclusively in our newspaper on Monday and will now play an additional concert on October 14.

It’s going to be a killer tour, packed with Katy’s biggest hits and kicking off in the UK on October 7th at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow.

I can’t wait.

SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR has all the sparkle of fireworks, so who better to ring in with in 2025?

The Murder On The Dancefloor singer was announced as New Year’s Eve musical entertainment on BBC One and iPlayer, following the Rick Astley concert last year.

Sophie said: “I immediately think of sparkles, singing and dancing for a New Year’s Eve party, and that’s what I’ll bring.

“The group and I are excited and we have surprises planned.

“I’m so honored to be asked.

“Get your disco shoes ready.

“I’ll wear mine.”

Sampha’s charity appeal is a class act

SINGER SAMPHA has teamed up with charity Street Child to help children in the world’s poorest countries access education.

The Mercury Prize winner, who was born in London and is of Sierra Leonean descent, urged his fans to support the festive Give The Gift That Lasts All Year campaign.

He said: “For just £1 a week we can give a child the opportunity to go to school for a year – a gift that lasts long after the festive season.

“It’s a simple way to make a difference.

“In 2017, I supported Street Child’s response to the mudslides in Freetown (the capital of Sierra Leone) and saw first-hand how their work creates lasting change.

“Since then, the charity has continued to have an incredible impact, transforming the lives of more than a million children in more than 20 countries. »

I’m right behind it, Sampha.

Christina does a Kylie

IF you thought only Kylie Minogue could look good in gold shorts, then take a look at Christina Aguilera.

The Dirrty singer was in New York’s Times Square to open H&M’s new flagship store – which is a bit random but I guess the pay was too good to turn down.

Kylie’s iconic gold hotpants still inspire her peers two decades later

And she certainly dazzled fans in tiny shorts, mimicking Kylie’s memorable show.

Earlier this week, Charli XCX also presented a show hosted by the clothing brand, so congratulations to the marketing department because we’re all talking about it.

It’s been a busy few days for Christina, who joined Sabrina Carpenter on stage last Friday as part of her Short n’ Sweet tour.

Together they sang What A Girl Wants and Ain’t No Other Man.

If you haven’t seen the performances yet, I suggest you watch some clips online.

Christina still has it in spades.

STARS of movie The version of the hit musical Wicked celebrated its release yesterday by helping to light the Greenwich Meridian Line laser at the Royal Observatory.

Cynthia Erivo pressed the button, in homage to her Wicked character, Elphaba.

Speaking on the Heart Breakfast radio show, she confirmed my story from earlier this year that scenes for the film’s final song, Defying Gravity, could only have been filmed when the actors could return at work after an actors’ strike.

She said: “The song was filmed after the strike.

“We were supposed to finish and ended up quitting, and six months later we finished.”

Olivia is in Lla-la-land

OLIVIA RODRIGO has spent the last year in some of the world’s most glamorous locations on her Guts tour – so imagine the surprise of residents of the sleepy Welsh seaside town of Llandudno when the California singer let loose.

The Drivers License hitmaker took a selfie on Thursday with a Marks & Spencer saleswoman named Rose, pictured, which was later posted on the branch’s Facebook page.

Olivia was visiting her boyfriend, British actor Louis Partridge, who I first revealed she was dating last year.

I bet it beats the exorbitant prices in Los Angeles.
