Ranking the Eagles’ remaining 2024 opponents, from easiest to toughest

Ranking the Eagles’ remaining 2024 opponents, from easiest to toughest

The Eagles are 8-2 and have won six straight games since their embarrassing Week 4 loss to Tampa Bay. Philadelphia’s defense has been solid and the best in the NFL since Week 6.

Philadelphia was one of four teams with the earliest byes this year, so Nick Sirianni’s team must play 13 straight games without interruption to close out the regular season. The Birds received a mini-bye last weekend after a 26-18 victory over the Commanders on Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football.

Philadelphia has the toughest stretch of games in the league, and we rank opponents from easiest to toughest.

7. Week 18: TBD vs. New York Giants (TBD/94WIP)

Both teams face changes in New York. The Giants are in tank mode, moved on from Daniel Jones and have nothing to play for other than the No. 1 overall pick.

6. Week 14: Sunday, December 8 vs. Carolina Panthers at 1:00 p.m.+ (FOX/94WIP)

The Panthers are 3-7 and looking toward 2025, when a new quarterback and personnel change could occur.

5. Week 17: Sunday, December 29 vs. the Dallas Cowboys at 4:25 p.m.+ (FOX/94WIP)

Philadelphia was successful against the Cowboys at home, and they might be able to win the NFC East with a blowout victory against a Dallas team ready to fire their head coach.

4. Week 12: Sunday, November 24 at Los Angeles Rams at 8:20 p.m.+ (NBC^/94WIP)

Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp offer a pretty formidable duo at the wide receiver position, but the Eagles will counter with Darius Slay, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. This game is about the clash of wits between Rams head coach Sean McVay and Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.

3. Week 16: Sunday, December 22 at Washington Commanders at 1:00 p.m.+ (FOX/94WIP)

The Commanders are getting better and have had the Eagles number for the last three years. Both teams are in the race for the playoffs, and this could be a tough matchup.

2. Week 13: Sunday, December 1 at Baltimore Ravens at 4:25 p.m.+ (CBS/94WIP)

.

1. Week 15: Sunday, December 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4:25 p.m.+ (FOX/94WIP)

The Eagles have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL, but the Week 15 game against Pittsburgh provides another litmus test against an AFC power. Philadelphia is starting to hit its stride and should pull away late to defeat the Steelers.
