Warwood and WARCO Sales have joined HECO’s existing electric motor sales and service centers and hubs in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Kentucky.

Founded in 1927 by Raymond Thalman and Lawrence Schmitt, Warwood initially specialized in rewinding frames for local coal mines in Wheeling, West Virginia. In 1974, the company expanded by creating a new division, WARCO Sales, to focus on the sale of new engines.

“HECO and Warwood customers can now expect the same level of service and knowledge from familiar faces,” HECO President Justin Hatfield said in a November press release. “Together, we will also share our respective areas of expertise throughout our combined footprint and capabilities. »

Warwood also offers comprehensive gearbox repair services for units weighing up to 25 tonnes. HECO said these services will remain available at Warwood and accessible to all HECO customers.
