HOUSTON – Police were searching for the person who shot two brothers in northeast Houston.

A brother told investigators he heard gunshots near Collingsworth Street and Lockwood Drive shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, in the parking lot of a grocery and beauty supply store.

Police said one of the brothers was shot in the jaw and the other in the shoulder.

The brothers were taken to hospital.

Police said one of them had an arrest warrant and was taken into custody.

Investigators were studying evidence to identify the shooter.

“The stories are pretty fishy, so we’re trying to figure out exactly what happened to them,” said Lt. Willkens of the Houston Police Department.
