A neighbor shoots two other neighbors

HOUSTON – Two people were recovering in the hospital after a neighbor shot them in southeast Houston, police said.

This happened at a residence on Des Jardines and Carrolton streets around 9 p.m. Friday.

Police said a group of neighbors were hanging out together and drinking when an argument broke out.

Investigators said a neighbor pulled out a gun and shot two other people. One was shot in the leg and the other in the buttocks.

The victims were taken to hospital and are expected to survive.

Police said the shooter remained at the scene and was arrested.
