Leicester stars party at nightclub next to ‘I miss you Enzo’ sign hours after Chelsea defeat the night before Cooper’s sacking

LEICESTER players were seen partying in Copenhagen just hours after losing at home to former manager Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea.

Footage released to the Danish press shows stars including Harry Winks and Conor Coady dancing in the Museo nightclub, with a banner eerily close to them reading “Enzo I Miss U”.

Winks and Coady can be seen in high spirits as partygoers dance around them and hold sparkly bottles.

Foxes boss Steve Cooper was sacked on Sunday afternoon, just hours after his players were dancing in the Danish capital.

According to Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet, Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen, both Danish internationals, were also at the luxury nightclub.

SunSport understands Leicester players were at their Christmas party.

The Telegraph claims Cooper had falling outs with Winks and Vestergaard before his sacking.

Danish defender Vestergaard was reportedly banned from training at one point during the coach’s tenure, while he also had a confrontation with Cooper.

The Foxes lost 2-1 at home to Chelsea, Maresca’s new team, on Saturday lunchtime, thanks to goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez.

Jordan Ayew grabbed a late consolation, but his goal was not enough to keep Cooper in the post.

Cooper was named Maresca’s successor in the summer, but was fired after just 12 matches and 157 days in charge.

That’s with Leicester sitting one point outside the relegation zone.

Cooper, who signed a three-year contract, was told when he accepted the job that his only goal for the campaign was to keep them going.

The decision was reportedly made solely by owner Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha – who fears a second relegation in three seasons.

He also responded quickly after being criticized for pulling the trigger too late on Brendan Rodgers before their relegation two years ago.

Cooper was informed of his dismissal by director of football Jon Rudkin.

Potter is reportedly set to replace the Welshman having not taken up a job since being sacked by Chelsea in April 2023.

Former West Ham boss and ex-Manchester United assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy are also ‘realistic competitors’.

Leicester avoided a possible points deduction earlier this season for breaking PSR rules by citing a technicality in the process.
