Pan-Indian star Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi’s upcoming periodic film is currently making waves. The actor’s collaboration with the filmmaker was launched in a grand way, and since then, several reports about the film’s genre and budget have leaked. Now, a cascade of photos of the decor, vintage cars and buses have spread across the Internet. The shooting is rumored to have taken place in the Alipore Jail in Hyderabad, where Subhash Chandra Bose was imprisoned in the 1930s. It is worth noting that the Alipore Jail Trial of 1908–09 marked a turning point in the Indian independence movement, inspiring young revolutionaries.

Tentatively titled Fauji, the film is said to be a broad war-based romantic drama set against the backdrop of World War II. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Prabhas is all set to essay the role of a soldier in this periodic action film and Iman. Vellani is rumored to be the female protagonist.

The film’s music will be composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar, while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao will be responsible for editing, and the cinematography will be handled by Sudeep Chatterjee to offer audiences a never-before-seen love story. Reportedly, the film is expected to be a grand cinematic adventure with a huge budget of Rs 400 crore.

Earlier, the makers shared a poster announcing the upcoming film on their social media. “When wars were a battle for supremacy, ONE WARRIOR redefined what they were FIGHTED for #PrabhasHanu, a HISTORICAL FICTION set in the 1940s. Filming begins soon,” the Instagram post read.

As for Prabhas’ work, the actor has an exciting line-up of films in the pipeline including The Raja Saab, Kalki sequel 2898 AD and Salaar 2. Written and directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is expected to shoot to end. by the end of this year. The film is bankrolled by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People’s Media Factory.

Starring Nidhhi Agerwal, Anupam Kher, Murali Sharma, Malavika Mohanan, Sanjay Dutt, Jisshu Sengupta and Yogi Babu, among others, The Raja Saab will hit theaters in Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
