Patti actor Shaheer Sheikh spoke about his recent film with Kriti Sanon. In the film, Kriti played the dual role of twin sisters who fall in love with the same man. Riding high on the success of the Netflix film, Shaheer recently opened up about an on-screen character that changed the course of his career and brought him instant fame.

Shaheer played the role of the legendary Arjun in Mahabharat. Reflecting on the immense responsibility that came with bringing such an iconic character to life, Shaheer revealed how the pressure of living up to audience expectations left him in a moment of raw vulnerability. Mahabharat not only showcased Shaheer’s versatility but also cemented his place as one of the most admired actors on Indian television.

Shaheer is best remembered for his role as Arjun from Mahabharat.

His portrayal of Arjun struck a chord with the audience, making him synonymous with the character. Shaheer said recently, “The weight of portraying a character like Arjun, someone people know, admire and respect, was overwhelming. »

“It wasn’t just about acting, it was about becoming the essence of a hero who represents strength, honor and dedication. The expectations were so high and on the day the series launched, it all hit me at once. I locked myself in the bathroom, tears streaming down my face. The emotions were just too strong: the fear, the hope and the pressure to live up to what Arjun means to everyone,” he explained.

Siddharth Kumar Tewary, the creator and producer of Mahabharatfondly remembers witnessing Shaheer’s moment of doubt and stepping in to support him. “I could feel the pressure he was under. It was a big role and he carried the weight of expectations from fans around the world,” Siddharth said.

He added: “I went up to him, hugged him and assured him that we were in this together. This was our shared journey, a collective responsibility, and I reminded him that He was not alone in this situation.”

A decade later, fans continue to associate Shaheer with this iconic role. Shaheer made his television debut with The life of Kya Mast Hai (2009). He recently made his Bollywood debut in Patti (2024).

Do Patti’s review

Zeba Khan of WION writes: “Do Patti is almost perfect in the first half. The pacing is excellent and the film is well written to keep you hooked. I can confidently say that the film is not easy to guess in the first half The film however starts moving towards the end The makers botch the film with its climax The chemistry between Kriti and Shaheer works, Kajol as a cop, as does Kriti in the film’s dual roles. the right place and even if he is not bookish in teaching us against domestic violence, he loses the dynamism he had at the beginning of the film.
