Moses “Shyne” Barrow’s new documentary, “The Honorable Shyne,” goes into detail about the alleged plan that made him the “fall guy” in a 1999 New York club shooting, which Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly executed himself. But Diddy and his team of lawyers I don’t have it.

Diddy’s team reportedly sent a cease and desist order against Shyne and the documentary. According to Page sixa source close to Combs as well as the documentary insisted that the Bad Boy Entertainment founder sent a formal notice not necessarily to block the release of “The Honorable Shyne” but to “ensure” that the facts were accurate.

In a statementCombs “categorically denies” Barrow’s accusations, “including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by ordering witnesses to testify against him.” These claims are unequivocally false.

The representatives also said, “Mr. Combs was acquitted of all charges related to the (1999) incident and has always maintained his innocence,” and “Mr. Combs appreciates the path Mr. Barrow has taken and wishes him continued success. It is regrettable that Mr. Barrow has chosen to retract these allegations.

Both men were tried for the shooting in 2001, but only Shyne was convicted of assault and reckless endangerment. He ended up serving an eight-year prison sentence.

“Everything is being revealed,” Barrow says in the film, by Rolling Stone. “Because when I said it (at the time), everyone was partying and having a good time with Diddy while I was languishing in jail.”

Shyne’s documentary was released on November 18 on Hulu. This follows Combs’ arrest on September 16 on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.

After his release from prison in 2009, Shyne was deported to his native Belize. He is currently a politician there, where he serves as leader of the opposition in the country’s House of Representatives.
