Police seize drugs and cash after car stopped heading towards Mersey Tunnel

Police have arrested two men suspected of being involved in the supply of class A drugs

Two men have been arrested after police found a quantity of white powder and bank notes at two properties. Merseyside Police spotted a BMW

The vehicle was searched and a quantity of bank notes was recovered. Two men, aged 36 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs and possession of criminal property.

Following the incident, police searched two properties and found a quantity of white powder and a large quantity of bank notes. A 47-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine). All three are currently in detention.

The arrests took place as part of Merseyside Police’s ongoing Operation Toxic, part of Project Medusa, a Merseyside-led initiative set up to combat suspected drug and drug trafficking. criminal exploitation of children in County Lines counties across the country. Detective Sergeant Sean McNee said: “County Lines gangs have no respect for the vulnerable young people they force to move drugs across the country, often with threats of violence and intimidation .

We know the devastation caused by drugs and Merseyside Police are relentless in pursuing these criminals and stopping their drug dealing.
