Male TV presenter’s surprising salaries revealed as Craig Melvin replaces Hoda Kotb on Today

As Hoda Kotb considers leaving Today after almost two decades on the beloved morning show, his replacement, Craig Melvin, will likely still see a few zeros on his salary.

News of Craig’s new role was announced on November 14, with the journalist telling the Today audience, he is “beyond excited and grateful” for the opportunity. “I’ve had a lifetime of blessings and this is the latest in a long line of blessings,” he said on air.

Hoda couldn’t be more excited about the new presenter, telling him, “You have everything this job needs. You’re the right person for this.” After the 60-year-old said he was “literally made for this job,” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie chimed in, acknowledging that he’s “talented, wonderful and hard-working.”

As Craig replaces Hoda in his new role, which is set to begin on January 11, 2025, he will likely receive a huge pay rise, putting him in the ranks of TV’s highest-paid male presenters, which include Anderson Cooper and Michael.
