DOZENS OF DRAIN-PRO WORKERS RATIFIE TEAMSTERS’ FIRST CONTRACT

Teamsters get better pay, benefits with lucrative contract

TACOMA, Washington., November 26, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — After joining Teamsters Local 313, a group of 56 Drain-Pro technicians, drivers, mechanics, office workers and support staff at Puyallup, Washington.voted overwhelmingly to ratify its first contract.

“We wanted to unionize because we saw the benefits other workers experienced through Teamsters representation,” said Matt Richardsona Drain-Pro worker. “We are already reaping the rewards of being part of this incredible union.”

In their new three-year contract, these Teamsters gained key benefits, including guaranteed annual raises, improved health care coverage and participation in the Teamsters Pension Plan.

“These workers keep Drain-Pro running,” said Nick LansdaleSecretary-Treasurer of Local 313. “We are delighted to have helped them land such a lucrative contract.”

From septic pumping to drain excavation and cleaning, Drain-Pro covers a wide range of solid waste management services.

“Drain-Pro workers provide industry-leading service, so it’s fitting that they were awarded a industry-leading contract,” said Chuck Stilesdirector of the Teamsters Solid Waste and Recycling Division. “They should be proud for taking this bold step.”
