Nigeria: After much soul searching, a man identified as Anthony Echibiri took to Facebook to publicly apologize to his wife, Fortune, who left him with their four children two years ago.

Why did Anthony turn to Facebook?

In an emotional Facebook post shared on November 23, Anthony said his estranged wife was his one and only sweetheart and begged her to unblock all her phone lines as well as her Facebook account so they could talk.

In the post, Anthony spoke about their children’s battle with malaria and how he took to public media to apologize unreservedly for all the offenses he had committed against her.

“I am indeed very sorry for hurting you and grossly misunderstanding you to the point that you decided to call it quits. Since you left, my darling, my life has never remained the same. Children also suffered so much emotionally.” he said.

“I am now a changed person and have evolved with the right levels of vulnerability to accommodate your natural weaknesses, unlike before. I deeply regret how our marriage degenerated to this level due to our points of divergent views on the issues in a few cases,” Anthony added. .

Why did Anthony’s marriage fail?

According to Anthony, the few cases of disagreement have unfortunately amplified and gradually eroded the joy of conjugality compared to what an ideal marriage should have been at the time of his departure on April 24, 2022.

“On November 24, 2024, it has been two years and seven months that I have lived as a widower while you are alive, and the children are treated like motherless children by their peers and strangers,” Anthony complained .

“I have often shed tears in secret and sometimes in the office. I am pained, devastated and broken. You have won in this debate, my love. What solution does Anthony propose to his ex-wife?
