Innocent Phrases That Always Get Men In Trouble With Women | Lucie D.

Some men say something they think is good, only to notice that they made their girlfriend angry. They may think they are being helpful, but the opposite is happening.

It can be easy to say something that someone interprets as completely different, so it might be time to think before you speak. Here are some of the worst things men can say to their partners.

Here are 9 innocent phrases that always get men into trouble with women:

1. ‘She’s just a friend.’

Yeah, that’s true. If she is attractive and single, we see her as a threat. If she’s just a friend, he needs to tell us why.

Is it because she’s not their type, has a boyfriend, has an annoying personality? We like to be reassured that he’s not secretly in love with his “friend.” It’s not uncommon to have friends of the opposite sex, with one survey finding that 54% of married men and 43% of women have a close friend of a different sex.

2. “I will call you this evening at (insert time here). »

A guy shouldn’t give a specific time/date that he will call unless he intends to keep his word. If he says he will call tonight, we expect a call. Not calling when he has agreed will set off all sorts of alarms and mistrust towards him.

3. “She’s sexy.” »

We like to think that, at least in their eyes, we are the sexiest woman on the planet. Pointing out that someone else is attractive won’t win a man any points.

We don’t want to know if he thinks someone else is hot – shut up!

4. ‘I love you.’

He will open Pandora’s box if he doesn’t mean it. Women do not take this statement lightly.

A woman waits for her man to say it; when he does, she assumes the relationship is moving to the next level. If he’s not ready for that kind of commitment, he shouldn’t say those three little words until he is.

One study found that it takes men an average of 107 days to say “I love you,” so saying it at the right time is essential.

5. “My ex always/never/used…”

If his ex is always on his mind to the point that he constantly has to talk about it, why is he dating someone else? Relationships are complex enough without the ghost of a man’s ex floating around. He needs to get back with her or abandon this relationship altogether.

6. “You remind me of my mother.” »

Men should not compare their mother to their girlfriend unless they have made it clear that they love and think about their mother.

7. “Do we have plans?”

Oh no, you didn’t! If we planned to get together, we looked forward to it all day. We thought about what to wear and how to do our hair. A man should not spoil our parade by forgetting our plans, otherwise there will be a high price to pay.

8. “Stay in touch/call me.” »

What does that mean? Does he intend to never call us again? Does he want to be called next time?

There is too much room for misinterpretation here. Instead, let’s stick to clear communication.
