Train breakdown causes ScotRail cancellations between Inverness and Elgin on the Inverness-Aberdeen rail line

Rail passengers traveling between Inverness and Elgin were hit by a number of cancellations on Friday morning.

Three of the trains traveling between the Highland capital and the town of Moray will not run this morning due to a train problem.

The 7:18 a.m. Elgin to Inverness, 9:46 a.m. Inverness to Elgin and 10:51 a.m. Elgin to Inverness flights will not operate.

Other trains running on the Inverness-Aberdeen route will, however, run as scheduled and there have been no further cancellations in the north at the time of writing.

It is This is the second time this week that train breakdowns have disrupted Inverness-Elgin journeyswith six separate services not operating on Monday.
