During a masterclass at IFFI 2024, Rakul Preet responded to a question on nepotism and said, “We are doing too much. Today, if you have worked for so many years and tomorrow for my children, will I not give them this access. It’s like saying my father is a great surgeon…but he’s like, mai tumko bikul nahi batauga ki tumhe mbbs me kese padhai karna hai (I won’t say you know how to study in MMBS). I mean no. This continues in the country.. one generation works and the other generation certainly benefits, but will they last well.. they will only last if they work hard enough. .. that’s why, back to what he was saying… I feel like we’re doing too much.. at the end of the day you’ll only last if you keep your promises. »

For the uninitiated, Rakul Preet Singh also started her journey without any prior support from the industry. The actress has often spoken about her middle-class upbringing and its values that continue to be a part of her life even today.

As for her appearance at IFFI 2024, fans were quite surprised to see the actress attending this event in Goa as she recently suffered a serious back injury. However, sources close to the actress revealed that Rakul has made a strong recovery and hence decided to attend the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

On the work front, Rakul will be seen in From Pyar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. The film is a sequel to From From Pyar From released in 2019. Following this, she will appear in Single Husband Ki Biwi and also has gripping drama Ameeri in the pipeline.
