The Indochine nightclub closed following a fire

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Indochine Nightclub on State St. caught fire, prompting a response from the City of Santa Barbara Fire Department Tuesday after 6:30 p.m.

No one was injured as crews battled flames outside and inside the building and smoke that spread to two other businesses, according to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department ( SBCFD).

The nightclub was unoccupied at the time of the fire, but the window in front of the building was broken due to the fire, the SBCFD said.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation, the SBCFD said.
