Shraddha Kapoor ‘jumped’ when offered Naagin, says Nikhil Dwivedi; reveals when the film will be released in theaters

In August this year, Shraddha Kapoor returned to films with Street 2a year after its last release Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (2023) with Ranbir Kapoor. Although the actor has yet to share any details, there has been buzz about his possible lineup for the upcoming year. Well, much to the delight of fans, filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi has confirmed that Shraddha is indeed a part of his upcoming film. Naagin, which will soon be available on the floors.

Naagin has been in the news for a while, giving rise to much speculation. Well, in a recent conversation with India Today, the producer of the film said that the script took three years to complete and was reshot three times. However, he is now ready. Talking about roping in Shraddha as a shape-shifting snake, Nikhil said the casting was decided from the beginning as the actor had an “ethereal quality to her”. He revealed: “She jumped on it. She was the first to board. I first approached her with this idea, and she was sold. She can’t wait to start filming now that the script is ready.

So when will Shraddha finally start shooting for Naagin? Well, the filmmaker hopes to take the project to the floors by next year. How exciting! Apart from this supernatural film, Shraddha had been in the news for her rumored partnership with Allu Arjun for a special song in his upcoming Telugu action thriller. Pushpa 2: The rule. However, reports suggest that the negotiations did not go through and ultimately the makers decided to cast actor Sreeleela opposite Allu Arjun instead of Shraddha.
