Body of missing boy found in Bogura

BOGURA, Nov 29, 2024 (BSS) – The body of a five-year-old boy, missing since Thursday morning, was found in the house of his neighbor Tahmina in Nishindara Dhamak Para area under Sadar upazila of the neighborhood today.

The victim was identified as Mahdi Hasan, 5, son of Shafiqul, resident of Nishindara Dhamak Para under Sadar upazila.

Tahmina, 31, was arrested by the police in this context. However, his details could not be known yet, Sadar police station officer-in-charge (OC) SM Moinuddin said.

According to family and local sources, Mahdi was playing in front of his house Thursday morning. As his family members could not find him even after searching the surroundings around 11 am, they lodged a general diary at the Sadar police station, the OC said.

Police recovered Mahdi’s body from their neighbor Tahmina’s house in the area around 8am this morning, the OC added.
