” Everything is fine. All senior leaders are on the same page. The formation of the government will take place soon. There is no reason to worry,” Sena leader Uday Samant told reporters on Friday.

There is no official communication yet from the party central leadership regarding the appointment of two observers for Maharashtra. BJP sources have already indicated that the state will continue to have two deputy chief ministers.

Amid speculation over the formula for distribution of ministerial posts and selection of the chief minister, several names from the saffron party were under discussion for the top post. Although many leaders have declared Devendra Fadnavis as the first choice, the possibility of a sudden change has not been ruled out either.

Asked about the delay in forming the government, a senior leader said it was part of the strategy of the BJP, which had also taken a similar stand in the Uttar Pradesh elections. Good efforts had to be made with regard to caste and community representation, which will help further strengthen the party, especially in weak areas, a leader said.
