Cotteswold Dairy welcomes latest delivery from Asset Alliance Group

Cotteswold Dairy has returned to Asset Alliance Group to refresh its DAF-powered delivery fleet.

The family-owned company has added 13 next-generation rigid trucks, ranging from 7.5-tonne to 18-tonne DAF XBs, with a variety of power outputs. The order also includes two 26-tonne DAF 340 XDs.

Ruairi Spencer, head of fleet logistics at Cotteswold Dairy, said: “We first used Asset Alliance Group in 2020 to secure new trucks at a time when it was difficult to do so due to the pandemic. .

“We have since come back to them thanks in large part to their excellent customer service and ease of process. They know their stuff and when I put the phone down for them, I can fully concentrate on my daily work, knowing that they will do exactly what they promise, efficiently and without fuss.

The new trucks all feature Solomon Commercials temperature-controlled bodies and Carrier Transicold refrigeration units.

The 18 and 26 tonne units are also equipped with Dhollandia tail lifts. On a daily basis, the new arrivals will serve customers in the semi-retail dairy and those in the catering sector.

The new DAF XBs have been supplied on five-year leases, while the larger XDs are on seven-year contracts. The vehicle liveries were produced by Smaldon Signs & Vehicle Graphics in Clitheroe, Lancashire.

The deal was facilitated by Simon Bird, national accounts manager at Asset Alliance Group, and includes repair and maintenance.

AD Fuels takes delivery of Iveco S-Way 490 tractors

Biogas road transport company AD Fuels has added two Iveco S-Way 490 trucks to its fleet.

The new Iveco S-Way 490s are powered by Cursor 13 engines producing 490 hp and 2,400 Nm of torque.

These 6×2 trucks offer strong mission capability when rolling up to 44 tons while delivering excellent fuel economy, says AD Fuels.

The new vehicles join an existing Iveco S-Way 530 vehicle and two other older Iveco trucks. Future fleet plans include introducing CNG vehicles to create a circular economy and taking advantage of a special tanker that can also refuel its tractor on longer journeys.

Also under consideration is the new 500 hp Iveco S-Way Natural Gas, a truck capable of reducing CO2 emissions by up to 95% compared to an equivalent diesel model.

Vanaways Supports Container Business Growth

Three new vehicles and an investment of almost £500,000 at the site herald continued growth for an expanding self-storage and mobile refrigeration business, headquartered near Bristol.

Established in 2002, Container Team now employs more than 25 people under new managing director Ricky Williams, who took over management of the business last year, from its base in Weston-super-Mare.

Robinsons rolls out the barrel with the new fleet of DAF XB trucks

Robinsons Brewery, one of the UK’s largest independent and family-owned breweries, has taken delivery of three new DAF XB 260 ‘FT’ urban artics to complement its existing DAF LF vehicles, signaling an exclusive DAF presence in the fleet of the company.

The new XB units replace outgoing competitor trucks to increase the truck fleet to 13 DAF vehicles.

The fleet is distributed to 250 pubs, inns and hotels across the North West of England and North Wales.

Logistics Manager Mathew Heath said: “The DAF XB Urban Artic looks like it was built especially for us. They are great in town. Agile, very easy to maneuver and drivers are very impressed with the revolutionary PowerLine transmission.

Another key element of the acquisition of the DAF XB is the continued support received by supplying the DAF dealer, MOTUS Commercials in Trafford Park, Manchester.

The new XB trucks are serviced and serviced under a seven-year DAF MultiSupport repair and maintenance contract.

A Cut Above orders new Isuzu grafters

A Cut Above, has taken delivery of three new 3.5 tonne Isuzu N35.125T LWB grafters to support the continued growth of its business.

The three long-wheelbase chassis cabs represent new additions to A Cut Above’s fleet of 15 mixed utility vehicles.

Mounted with custom tree dump bodies from Southern Vehicle Bodies, they include features such as split rear barn doors, which make it easy to collect green waste from a chipper towed behind the vehicle, and folding sides that convert the body into a tray for transporting larger dimensions. equipment and loads.

The new Grafters will travel an average of 20,000 miles per year and are expected to remain in service for at least 10 years.

Longcliffe Quarries strengthens fleet with new Volvo trucks

Longcliffe Quarries has invested in 15 Volvo ’24 plate trucks to deliver its range of over 100 industrial mineral products to customers across the UK.

The 500 hp Volvo FH Globetrotter 6×2 cab with lightweight axle and “I-Save” engine will help the logistics team achieve up to 10 mpg.
