Kam Jones recorded MU’s third triple-double in program history a few weeks ago against Purdue.

Jones gets another close against Western Carolina.

He has 20 points, eight assists and six rebounds in just under 12 minutes.

There were a few nervous moments for MU in the first half, when the Golden Eagles found themselves trailing 30-21 with just under seven minutes to play.

But MU closed strong and took a 49-30 advantage into the locker room.

Kam Jones had 16 points, four assists and four rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles in the first 20 minutes. .

MU got off to sort of a listless start against Western Carolina, but Kam Jones continued as he has all season.

The Golden Eagles’ leading scorer had 12 points on 5-for-8 shooting as MU took a 29-19 lead at 7:05 of the first half.
