The Marquette men’s basketball team concludes its November campaign against Western Carolina (2-3) Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fiserv Forum.

The Golden Eagles (7-0) are ranked 10th in the Associated Press top 25 and 11th in the USA TODAY coaches poll.

Kam Jones recorded MU’s third triple-double in program history a few weeks ago against Purdue.

Jones gets another close against Western Carolina.

He has 20 points, eight assists and six rebounds in just under 12 minutes.

There were a few nervous moments for MU in the first half, when the Golden Eagles found themselves trailing 30-21 with just under seven minutes to play.

But MU closed strong and took a 49-30 advantage into the locker room.

Kam Jones had 16 points, four assists and four rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles in the first 20 minutes. .

MU got off to sort of a listless start against Western Carolina, but Kam Jones continued as he has all season.

The Golden Eagles’ leading scorer had 12 points on 5-for-8 shooting as MU took a 29-19 lead at 7:05 of the first half.

It looks like this could be a trap game with big games looming for MU at Iowa State and at home against Wisconsin. But the Golden Eagles should be able to play their younger players for extended minutes again, like they did earlier this week against Stonehill.
