Update 1.01 for Stalker 2 contains over 650 fixes for Survival-Shooter.

Updated December 1: A new tag, a new patch for Stalker 2. The small update 1.02 on PC and Xbox live brings fixes for several missions and possible updates.

The latest full patch notes are available on Steam.

Updated November 30: Patch 1.01 is also available on Xbox. When you see the download, the download does not contain any other content:

KI fixes:

  • Fixed groups of NPCs getting stuck and dying near the shelter during active broadcast.
  • Fixed an issue where Burer could drop any mission item out of the player’s hands.
  • Added missing sound effects for Burer’s “Telekinesis” ability.
  • Fixed issues where NPCs would sometimes get stuck and not reach the mission location. This could have resulted in the inability to interact with the NPC or proceed to the next stage of the mission due to the inactive behavior of the mission NPC.
  • Fixed issues with potential performance drops/low memory crashes in hubs and NPC-filled locations during long play sessions.
  • Fixed an issue where NPCs would go into A pose or start flying after death.
  • Fixed an issue where NPCs could not tell if a target in cover was covered by fire, causing them to fire from behind cover.

And others, over 20 different AI issues.

Optimization fixes:

  • Fixed an issue with invisible NPCs/Mutants appearing in the field of view while the player is aiming.
  • Fixed fire visual effects not rendering at certain camera angles.

We also fixed around 100 different crashes, including potential memory leaks and EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION issues.

Audio and sound fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where combat music would still play after combat was over.

And 7 other minor audio and sound bugs.

Balance adjustments:

  • The cost of repairing weapons and armor is reduced.
  • Significantly increased the cost of artifacts (more income from sales).
  • The cash reward for most missions is increased by 2-3 times.
  • Armor and weapon upgrades on beginner difficulty.
  • Mutant damage is moderately reduced on Rookie difficulty (no more changes to mutant health balance in the Combat Balance section).
  • Damage to the player’s weapon is reduced by 23 percent on Rookie difficulty.
  • Armor durability is increased by 12.5 percent.
  • Added a PTM silencer accessory to a specific hiding place on the lower area.
  • Fixed sales prices for exoskeletons, they are now more expensive to sell.
  • Fixed selling price of upgraded weapons.
  • Hercules consumable rebalanced: player speed debuff removed; increased effect parameters (player could now carry more weight after consuming).

  • Decreased protection rank against Bloodsucker’s strikes (more gun damage).
  • Reduced Boodsucker’s HP regeneration outside of combat.
  • Controller HP is moderately reduced.
  • Burer HP is moderately reduced.
  • The boar’s HP is moderately reduced.
  • Flesh HP is moderately reduced.
  • Boar damage from headshots has been changed to 100% body damage.
  • The damage inflicted on the boar by shots on the limbs is increased.
  • The damage caused to flesh by shots to the limbs is increased.
  • Significantly increased weapon melee distance.
  • Knife melee distance slightly increased.

Gamepad input:

  • Increased gamepad dead zones

Characters:

  • Fixed eyes and teeth on NPC models.
  • Some minor fixes to NPC models and animations.

Cutscenes:

  • Added missing footage to the TV screens in the final cutscene.
  • Fixed an issue with the deer animation in the opening cutscene.

And 20 other different bugs in cutscenes.

  • Adjusted unreadable text at the bottom of the shader compilation screen.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Nvidia Reflex Low Latency” option not being saved on subsequent game starts.

And 10 other minor issues.

Interactive objects:

  • Fixed physics issues with destructible and moving objects, including those floating in the air.
  • Fixed a prompt to interact with the glass doors in SIRCAA’s inner courtyard, causing the passage to become blocked.
  • Fixed missing interior doors in laboratory elevator X-11.

And other minor bugs.

Main and secondary missions:

Fixed numerous mission blockers and bugs encountered in specific conditions. Major fixes include:

  • Fixed missing interaction with dead blind dogs in the Nightingale’s Hunt mission.
  • Fixed unobtainable objectives in the mission Seek and you will find.
  • Fixed several issues in the Return Trip mission, including one where the artifact could not be found.
  • Resolved dialogue loop with Zotov during the mission A Needle in a Haystack.
  • Fixed progress blockers in Mission Answers come at a price, including issues with bandits after a broadcast and missing the Heavy Key item.
  • Fixed mission markers for NPC locations in the Hot on the Trail mission.
  • Fixed issues with doors in In Search of a Guide and The Side Hustle missions.
  • Fixed an issue where the cutscene would not start during the Just Like the Good Old Days mission.

  • Fixed stretched or missing limbs on humanoid corpses.
  • Fixed missing fast travel routes, including to the Toadstool Concrete Plant.
  • Fixed issues with speakers, fast travel, and NPC interactions in various locations, such as the Scientist Bunker and Chemical Plant.
  • Adjusted hostile NPC behavior during Arena missions, including bandit tactics and increased ammo for the Tyrant fight.
  • Fixed mission progression in Black Sheep and The Key to Freedom missions.

And about 50 other issues have been fixed.

Player Tips, Equipment and Weapons:

  • Fixed a bug that allowed items to be sold to the merchant for more money than their actual cost.
  • Fixed input blocking issues with the PDA, inventory, and attachments when interacting with artifacts.
  • Fixed flashlight behavior after saving/loading.
  • Fixed issues with grenade type selection, compass marker overlaps, and missing mission markers.
  • Fixed inconsistencies with weapon and armor upgrade effects, including upgrade prices and reversals.
  • Improved HUD behavior and extended duration of “Point of No Return” hints during the Down Below mission.
  • Fixed a bug where the player could sell mission items using the gamepad.

And about 50 minor “anomalies”.

Voiceover and facial animations:

  • Restored missing facial animations for Sava in the Hot on the Trail mission and Mugwort in The Eternal Shining mission.
  • Fixed missing voice lines during the mission Leave No One Unsatisfied.
  • Fixed radio call effects so that NPC voices correctly reflect distance during communication.

And a few other things are fixed.

World:

  • Fixed flickering textures in various locations including the Sphere, Military Base, and Chemical Plant.
  • Fixed movement issues including getting stuck in certain locations during missions like Once More Unto the Breach and A Tough Awakening.
  • Fixed artifact spawn points in certain areas.
  • Fixed NPC behavior during encounters.
  • Adjusted voice volume during storm for better audio balance.
