Demi Moore explains why she thought ‘Ghost’ was going to be ‘amazing or a fucking disaster’

Demi Moore shares one of the main things she looks for before taking on a role or project.

The actress recently made an appearance in The hot oneswhere host Sean Evans asked him to expand on his previous comments on The bottom the scenario being potentially “something extraordinary or could be an absolute disaster”.

“It really means that it had something in it that was worth the risk,” Moore said of her recent body horror film, in which she played Elisabeth, opposite Margaret Qualley’s Sue.

THE GI Jeanne The actress continued: “And I felt that way too about Ghost because there were so many different genres mixed together that, really, I was like, “This could either be amazing or a fucking disaster.” Either way, it’s usually the kind of juice that says, “Come on in.” Take the risk.” Roll the dice. Let’s see what happens.’

Moore starred alongside the late Patrick Swayze in the 1990 supernatural romantic thriller, which ended up becoming an unexpected box office success, grossing over $500 million.

Later in the episode, Evans also asked the Quarrel star on what she sees as the biggest existential threat to filmmaking, having starred in dozens of projects throughout her acting career.

“I think that would be the loss of the cinematic experience,” Moore responded. “I think the risk – not just in cinema, but in life in general – is that we are moving towards too much isolation. And I think it’s our community experience that allows us to connect with each other when we share these experiences. While I really love streaming and enjoy it and think there’s an aspect to it that’s quite additive for all of us, I hope we can find some common ground by bringing us all back to the theater too, so as not to really lose that.
