However, recent changes in stores have people worried about them. The question on fans’ lips is: Has Olive Garden changed its breadsticks?

This is a question that has been discussed on TikTok before, with opinions ranging from the idea that the breadsticks have been permanently changed, to the idea that it was only a temporary change and that fans should not worry. So what is the truth?

Has Olive Garden changed its breadsticks?

Last year, the chain made waves after announcing it would change the sourcing of its breadsticks. The reason given for this is the legislation which classifies sesame among the main allergens. Since the chain’s breadsticks were previously made from sesame, they chose to change suppliers in order to ensure there would be no sesame in the new breadsticks.

Although it was announced last year, it’s unclear when the change actually took effect. That said, Reddit users have reported varying times when their Olive Garden locations have changed their supply. Some ranged from last year to just a few months ago. Some even claimed that their location had changed providers several times.

Can you buy Olive Garden’s old breadsticks?

According to Food Republic, Olive Garden, at one point, sourced its breadsticks from a company called Turano.

This led TikTokers to claim that one could buy the breadsticks directly from the manufacturer and have them at home.

This always seems to be an option; If one wants Olive Garden breadsticks, one can buy breadsticks made by the same supplier on the Internet. Additionally, there are many copycat recipes for this article available online, meaning one can simply make them at home without needing the exact breadsticks from Olive Garden.

That said, whether the chain actually changed its breadsticks seems to be an open question. The Daily Dot reached out to Olive Garden via email for clarification.
