Jaguars QB ruled out for concussion

Jaguars QB ruled out for concussion

Trevor Lawrence’s return to play didn’t last long for the Jaguars.

He was forced off the field Sunday following a big hit in the second quarter. Chaos ensued, with referees struggling to keep the peace in Jacksonville. Lawrence was quickly ruled out with a concussion, leaving Mac Jones to lead the Jaguars through Week 13.

Here’s the latest news on Lawrence.

Trevor Lawrence injury update

Lawrence was officially ruled out with a concussion after being bulldozed by the Texans’ Azeez Al-Shaair in the second quarter of Sunday’s game in Jacksonville. The quarterback was on the field while the cart was coming out.

He finally got up, sat on the cart and was taken to the locker room.

Al-Shaair was sent off for the hit, leading to a brawl between the two sides.

Jones will be the Jaguars’ quarterback for the rest of the day today.

With Lawrence out of action, Jones is next man up. The former Patriots QB started the previous two games while Lawrence was out with a shoulder injury. Beathard is the team’s emergency quarterback on Sunday, so he will only play in the game if Jones also suffers an injury.

Trevor Lawrence Stats

Lawrence was 4 of 10 for 41 yards and an interception in his return to play Sunday.
