A fire broke out at a shopping mall located in Telibagh market area under PGI police station in Lucknow, causing panic among residents on Monday morning.

However, no one was injured in the fire as the shop was closed when the fire broke out on the second and third floors of the building, PGI Fire Station in-charge Mamchand Bargujar said, adding that the fire was brought under control in time with the firefighters. arrive immediately on site.

Firefighters said the fire broke out at 9:19 a.m. “Two vehicles were called from PGI and one from Hazratganj. The three vehicles brought the fire under control and saved goods worth thousands of dollars,” said Mangesh Kumar, chief financial officer, Lucknow.

PGI SHO Ravi Shankar Tripathi, who also visited the spot, said there was no loss of life or injuries reported. At first glance, the cause of the fire appears to be a short circuit.

Store manager Anurag Pandey said the fire broke out around 9 am. “When five store employees, including two assistant managers and four employees, arrived at the store and saw smoke. It is difficult to say how much damage the fire caused,” he added.
