These amazing OLED gaming monitors are great deals for Cyber ​​Monday shoppers

If you’re a die-hard PC gamer, chances are you play in a dark environment most of the time to maximize the contrast ratio of your screen. A dark room means minimal reflected light, which means the brightness-diffusing anti-glare coating on your screen is not necessary. At least that’s ASUS’s pitch for its ROG Strix XG27AQDMG, a 240Hz QHD OLED gaming monitor with a perfect glossy finish. It also has a brightness uniformity guarantee and an ELMB black frame insert. It fell to $549 after a 27% price drop.

Maybe you’re the type of person who wishes your screens were a little longer on one side. If you’re looking for that ultra-wide style, how about this Predator X34? This is a 34-inch WQHD OLED gaming monitor with an extremely tight 800R curve for increased immersion. It refreshes at 240Hz and sports VESA DisplayHDR 400 TrueBlack certification. It includes a KVM switch and 90W power delivery on its USB Type-C port. Get it for 25% off at $899, its lowest price ever.

Another highly rated curved OLED gaming monitor is the Alienware AW3423DWF, which was widely talked about after its appearance on Linus technical advicewhere it was hailed as “the best gaming monitor”. That was last year, and things have changed quite a bit since then, but it’s still a phenomenal monitor. It is WQHD, refreshed at 165Hz and has DisplayHDR 400 TrueBlack certification. Buy it for just $644, 28% off the list price.

Philips is a name you don’t hear too much about computer screens, which could be a shame as this Evnia 34M2C8600 QD-OLED screen looks like a good deal. It has basically similar specs to the Alienware above, except the refresh rate is slightly higher at 175Hz. Philips also advertises a four-year advance replacement warranty that covers break-in. It’s down 29% to $569.

If 21:9 isn’t wide enough for you, let’s go double-wide, or “Super Ultrawide.” These monitors are essentially like two standard 16:9 monitors placed side by side. This first one is a Samsung Odyssey 49″ G93SC curved OLED with a 240Hz refresh rate and HDR400 TrueBlack certification. Samsung calls it “the absolute immersive experience”; you can get it for $949 now, a discount total of 41%.

This last screen is a bit weird because it’s not actually an OLED. This monitor uses a VA LCD panel with the same 49-inch size and 5120×1440 resolution as the Samsung above. However, the refresh rate is cut in half to 120Hz. We think this screen will still deliver a phenomenal visual experience, though. It manages an HDR400 certification (but not “TrueBlack”), and INNOCN promises “class-leading color performance” with a DeltaE value of less than 2 right out of the box. $594 after $80 Amazon coupon.

Many people still grimace at the thought of an OLED gaming display, fearing that it will quickly suffer burn-in. It’s true that if you play games with static HUD elements on screen for hours on end, you’ll want to reduce the brightness, otherwise you risk damaging the screen before long. However, most games aren’t like that; Typically you open a subscreen or change scenes often enough that this isn’t much of an issue with modern OLEDs, which are quite durable. Tests have shown that it will take thousands of hours to burn a current generation OLED at maximum brightness.
