Lead by example: Sajith tells government – Latest News

Colombo, December 3 (Daily Mirror) – The government should deliver on its promises during the election platform, particularly on debt sustainability arrangements and the IMF deal, the leader told Parliament today of the opposition Sajith Premadasa.

“Members of the current government committed to amending debt sustainability arrangements and other agreements during the election platform. However, it appears the government is not prepared to do what it committed to to do,” he said.

“You promised to guarantee freedom of expression, but you have arrested some people who posted various messages on social media. You must lead by example,” Premadasa told the government.
