Top 10 Waiver Pickups for Week 14 (2024)

Top 10 Waiver Pickups for Week 14 (2024)

Injuries continue to pile up for your fantasy football team, and with your playoffs likely starting in Week 15, you need to fill out your team as best you can. Our Week 14 waiver pickups include a clear number one pick, followed by a few consistent players who have sustained their play during this season.

The following list includes players who are on less than 50% of all ESPN rosters, making the chances that you can pick them up quite high. As the bye weeks and injury bug continue to rage, do your best to fill a few holes on the roster as you get closer to playoff preparation.

1. Isaac Guerendo, San Francisco 49ers – RB

1.3% registered

With the San Francisco 49ers adding Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason to injured reserve, they are likely down their top two running backs for the remainder of the 2024 NFL season. With Isaac Guerendo next in the pecking order, he tops our Week 14 waiver pickups.

Guerendo has already seen his share of work this season, winning 42 races spread across nine matches. Although Patrick Taylor will also likely play a larger role on the running back committee, expect Guerendo to be the biggest beneficiary of the Niners’ injury issues.

2. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee Titans – WR

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has a magnet for the end zone, scoring two touchdowns in Week 13 and bringing his season total to eight. With just 20 receptions this season, Westbrook-Ikhine has found the end zone on 40 percent of his catches this year.

While Westbrook-Ikhine’s target share isn’t earth-shattering, he is Will Levis’ trusted weapon in the red zone, giving him solid ground as a middle WR2 for your fantasy football roster.

3. Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers – QB

43.1% registered

The only quarterback on our Week 14 waiver pickups is Russell Wilson, who had a 400-yard passing day for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13. Leading Pittsburgh to a shootout victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Wilson had his best performance in the dark. and gold so far, as he gets into shape down the stretch.

His connection with George Pickens is stronger than ever, as those two connected for a touchdown last week. As long as Wilson continues to operate in a clean pocket, he will provide solid value to your fantasy football teams.

4. Adam Thielen, Carolina Panthers – WR

27.3% registered

In just his second game back from injury, Adam Thielen found the end zone on eight catches, falling a yard short of the century and being one of Bryce Young’s favorite targets. Thielen is linked to an offense that will likely be forced into passing situations more often than not, giving him a bit of a safer playing field moving forward.

Battling with Xavier Legette for top honors in the passing offense, Thielen looks comfortable as Young’s top target and should be available for your Week 14 waiver wire pickups.

5. Braelon Allen, New York Jets – RB

21.9% registered

Fumble issues continue to plague Breece Hall, which has helped rookie Braelon Allen stay integrated into the New York Jets offense. Accumulating seven touches in Week 13, Allen has a small role in the offense, but one that looks pretty consistent.

Although Allen is clearly second fiddle to Hall, his role could grow as the Jets have nothing to play for down the stretch. If the Jets want to get a better look at what Allen brings to the table, then double-digit touches are certainly within the realm of possibility for Allen.

6. Kimani Vidal, Los Angeles Chargers – RB

10.7% registered

With JK Dobbins heading to IR, Gus Edwards is the Los Angeles Chargers’ top back, with rookie Kimani Vidal sliding down a spot on the depth chart. While neither option has really taken over the starting role, Vidal can still factor into this Chargers offense.

Vidal has been impactful in both the rushing and receiving games for LAC, giving him RB3/4 value with growth potential.

22.6% registered

His Week 13 touchdown marks the third straight scoring game for Marquez Valdes-Scantling since joining the New Orleans Saints. With most major targets injured in the NO offense, Derek Carr focused on high-value targets on MVS.

Although he doesn’t earn a significant share of the target, Valdes-Scantling has become Carr’s trusted target in the red zone, giving him a boom-or-bust tag for your fantasy football team moving forward .

8. Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams – RB

Eight touches tied for the most in a game for rookie Blake Corum this season, as the Los Angeles Rams involved the Michigan rookie more in their offense. Although Kyren Williams is still the undisputed leader in the backfield, it’s interesting to see that Corum has gotten more carries.

Plus, it’s the time of year where you fill the margins of your fantasy football roster with handcuffs at RB, which is exactly what Corum is for the Rams.

9. Tommy Tremble, Carolina Panthers – TE

0.2% registered

The second (of two) Panthers on our Week 14 waiver pickups is tight end Tommy Tremble, who took over the TE1 role with Ja’Tavion Sanders’ neck injury. Tremble set season highs in receptions (five) and yards (77) in replacement for Sanders, and even though Sanders returns in Week 14, Tremble has been a trusted weapon for Young in the past this year .

10. Sincere McCormick, Las Vegas Raiders – RB

0.1% registered

The final player on our Week 14 waiver pickups is Raiders running back Sincere McCormick, who stepped in with Alexander Mattison and Zamir White out. Splitting time with Ameer Abdullah, McCormick led the way with 14 touches (12 carries) from the backfield.

Even if one (or both) of Mattison/White returns in Week 14, it’s possible that McCormick deserved a chance at some point to advance for a team that has nothing left to play for.
