Suspicious bag containing ammunition found near Mahadeva temple sparks panic in Kanpur |

Kanpur: Panic reigned in the Kursauli canal area when a suspicious bag containing a dismantled firearm and ammunition was found within the limits of Bithoor police station in the district on Tuesday.
Children who were fishing in the Kasauli canal near Mahadeva Temple along Barasirohi Road noticed the suspicious bag. When they opened it, the children found a dismantled weapon and ammunition. They immediately alerted the village chief.
Village head Amit Singh inspected the bag on the spot and informed the Bithoor police, who recovered the dismantled single-barreled pistol along with around twelve live cartridges from the bag.
