Thane:

Caretaker Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde was discharged from the hospital after a check-up by a team of doctors on Tuesday.

He left for his official residence Varsha. Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Shirsat said Shinde would meet deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar late in the night to discuss various issues regarding government formation, including number of ministerial posts and allocation ministerial posts.

Earlier in the day, the caretaker CM was admitted to Jupiter Hospital due to fever and weakness, following which it was announced that discussions on government formation could not take place.

With the CM returning home, meetings are expected to resume and discussions on government formation will take place.

According to Shiv Sena sources, his dengue and malaria tests were negative, but due to low white blood cells amid the fever, he was feeling weak.

With E Shinde’s health improving, Thursday’s swearing-in ceremony seems certain to take place.

However, it is still unclear whether CM Shinde will join the government as Deputy Chief Minister as he is yet to open his cards.

There was a stream of Shiv Sena leaders, including Mahendra Thorve and Bharat Gogawale, who came to see CM Shinde but due to his illness, they met his son and party MP Shrikant Shinde and inquired about his condition. health.

“Shinde’s condition is not good. He has a throat infection and fever. I have been with him since we went to Delhi last week. Doctors have advised him to take complete rest. Since then as he became the chief minister, he worked continuously for two and “After putting so much stress on the body, it is natural for health to deteriorate,” said Shiv Sena minister Shambhuraj Desai.

Shiv Sena lawmaker and spokesperson Sanjay Shirsat said only doctors would say whether he would attend the swearing-in or not. “Eknath Shinde is not desperate for power because power is not important to him,” he added.

Shinde was suffering from fever when he left for his native Dare village in Satara district last Friday. This had led to speculation about the cancellation of a meeting between Mahayuti leaders on government formation. Although E Shinde returned from Dare village to Thane, on Sunday he was resting and had canceled all his meetings. Fadnavis had called E Shinde to inquire about his health. On Monday, BJP Minister Girish met E Shinde.

E Shinde said he would not become a hindrance or a brake on speed in government formation and would respect Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision. He claimed that he had worked as the chief minister of the common man and the people of the state wanted him to continue as CM following Mahayuti’s landslide victory in the parliamentary elections which have just ended.

E Shinde has been pushing for the Home Ministry to be given to Shiv Sena, although the BJP is quite reluctant to vacate it. Furthermore, E Shinde was furious after BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule unilaterally made an announcement regarding the swearing-in scheduled for December 5. Shiv Sena insiders opposed Bawankule’s move, citing that the BJP is yet to elect its legislative group leader, particularly, when Shiv Sena and NCP complete the formalities in this regard.

Meanwhile, Mahayuti leaders, including BJP’s Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Praveen Darekar, Shiv Sena legislator Sanjay Shirsat and NCP ministers Hasan Mushrif and Dhananjay Munde, visited Azad Maidan earlier this month and made the update on preparations for the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for December 5.
