Sydney nightclub ranks among world’s top 100 clubs

Overall, Sydney’s nightlife has a bad reputation. And while we’ve been championing Sydney’s nightlife offering for some time, it’s always nice when an external source confirms our belief that Sydney is actually home to world-class artists. party places. This week, International nightlife has released its annual list of the world’s best nightclubs, and a Sydney club has made history as Australia’s first nightclub to make the top 100.

Located in the heart of Darlinghurst, Carousel is a relatively new addition to Oxford Street’s nightlife offering, which opened last year to a very welcome reception. Described as Sydney’s Pink Mile, Oxford Street is not only our local gayhourhood, it’s known as one of the most fun streets in Harbor City. As the first Australian venue to make the top 100, Carousel is making history with this ranking – and while we know some Melburnians might have something to say on the subject, we’re happy to follow Nightlife’s words International, when we declare that Sydney is home to the best club in the whole damn country. If it’s good enough for Troy, it’s good enough for us.
