Don’t panic over Waqf notice, Vijayendra tells farmers

Accusing the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government of targeting land belonging to poor farmers under the guise of Waqf registration, BJP state president BY Vijayendra appealed to farmers not to panic over the notices. expulsion from the Waqf which were addressed to them.

“For the last four decades, former chief minister BS Yediyurappa fought tirelessly for farmers’ issues. He led campaigns in support of landless farmers and forced labor. Mr. Yediyurappa expressed his displeasure over the Waqf eviction notices sent to farmers and requested me to launch a state-wide protest against the state government,” Mr. Vijayendra said.

In Bidar district, the entire village of Dharmapur has been claimed as Waqf property. Around 900 acres of land in Chatnalli village have also been registered as Waqf property. The BJP will intensify its protests across the state to save farmers’ land, he reiterated.

“The Congress government in the state is reeling from corruption and the BJP has successfully exposed it. Congress leaders misused funds allocated to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Former Congress minister B. Nagendra has been arrested in connection with a multi-crore scam in the Karnataka Maharishi Valmiki Development Corporation. He was forced to resign from the Cabinet and sent to jail after the BJP launched a series of protests across the state,” he said.

Mr. Vijayendra also recalled that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had initially declared the MUDA scam a fake deal but later handed over 14 sites to the development authorities after his party put pressure on him.

BJP leaders CN Ashwath Narayan, Murugesh Nirani, Prabhu Chavan, Shailendra Beldale, Sharanu Salagar, Basavaraj Mattimod and Chandu Patil were present.
