I’m A Celeb star sparks rumors she quit

Maura Higgins has sparked rumors she has quit I’m A Celebrity after flying to America just days before the ITV show aired. Although the former Love Island star, 33, was not part of the original line-up – with ten plucky stars already in Australia – it has been reported that she will join the jungle as a latecomer alongside Reverend Richard Coles.

However, she left fans confused after revealing she was currently in Las Vegas. Posting a photo of a plane at the airport, the Irish beauty teased: “Where to next?” as she left a box for her followers to share their guesses. And while many were no doubt hoping it would be Australia, Maura later posted a photo of herself at a swanky Vegas hotel.

She revealed she was on a work trip with beauty brand SpaceNK, with TV presenter Stacey Solomon and a group of friends. Taking to Instagram Stories, Maura looked stunning as she posted a mirror selfie wearing a black mini dress with oversized ruffled sleeves.

Despite speculation that she may no longer take part in the challenge, there is still plenty of time for her to fly to Brisbane from Oz – which is around a 17-hour flight from Las Vegas – in the event of a late arrival. It is thought Maura and Richard, 62, will fly out later to keep their participation a secret.

This comes after Maura was spotted ahead of her rumored appearance, stocking up on pre-trip essentials. Earlier in the week, she even managed to spend some quality time with rumored love Pete Wicks as they enjoyed a date night in London.

Meanwhile, the rest of the I’m A Celebrity cast are now in Australia and even took part in their first mission before the series begins on Sunday, November 17. The line-up so far includes Coleen Rooney, Tulisa, GK Barry, Danny Jones, Oti Mabuse, Jane Moore, Dean McCullough, Barry McGuigan, Melvin Odom and Alan Halsall.

A source previously revealed how Maura replaced Tommy Fury in the jungle. They told The Sun: “Tommy Fury’s withdrawal gave show bosses the opportunity to look at other Love Island stars and Maura emerged as the ideal candidate.

“She will bring a bit of glamor to the jungle and will make a brilliant campmate as she has a great sense of humor and is sure to get along with everyone. It’s shaping up to be a strong year for the women on I’m A Celebrity this year.
