Neighbors heard a helicopter flying low, searching for the suspects.

“We were sitting there watching TV and I heard them walking by, so we didn’t really pay attention to it,” a neighbor said. “It was shortly after that a police officer came and knocked on the door.”

The suspects did damage the home, police said, and stole an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the scene.

The investigation is active and ongoing, and as of Wednesday afternoon, no suspects are currently in custody.

Police say this is an isolated incident and does not appear to be a random act.

News of the home invasion has some people worried.

“It’s starting to make me nervous and I’m really starting to worry,” another neighbor said.

This neighbor says concern has been heightened because of the crime, and right next door someone has broken into at least six businesses in the past month.

“I want to see a bigger presence on 47th Terrace,” the neighbor said.
