Pete Hegseth News: Pete Hegseth Comes Straight About Allegations of Drinking Problems: ‘What Do Guys Do When…’

Pete Hegseth has commented on the alcohol abuse allegations made against him.

President-elect Donald Trump’s Pentagon pick, Pete Hegseth, has been clear about his allegations of alcohol abuse and said he, like all men who come from war, must have had a beer or two, but that he never had a drinking problem and never needed to seek counseling. because it has never been an abuse or a problem. On Megyn Kelly’s show Wednesday, Pete Hegseth said he was eager to be heard in the Senate because it would put an end to the “arsenal of lies” circulating about him and would require a real investigation.
“First of all, I never had a drinking problem,” Hegseth said. “No one has ever approached me and said, ‘You should really seek help for drinking.’ I never, ever asked for advice, never asked for help, but I respect and appreciate people who do. But you know, what do guys do when they come back from the battlefield sometimes? it’s with a bottle.

Hegseth says he’s going to stop drinking

During the interview, Pete said that since soldiers were not allowed to drink while deployed, he would treat his job at Petangon as a deployment and would stop drinking. “This is the biggest deployment of my life, and there won’t be a drop of alcohol on my lips while I do it,” he said.
After Matt Gaetz withdrew his nomination for Trump’s attorney general position, Hegseth emerged as the most controversial pick over which there are doubts, according to reports. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is being considered to replace Pete Hegseth, but Hegseth dismissed that speculation.
Alcohol abuse is just one of many complaints against him. In an email written to him by his mother Penelope Hegseth in 2018, there were accusations of mistreatment of women. But his mother clarified that it was written in a different context, in haste and with deep emotions, when Pete and his first wife were going through a difficult divorce.
