LEADER medical aid company Cimas Health Group has launched its iGo Recipe Book, an initiative to promote healthy cooking and eating.

The iGo Cookbook is a collection of 30 recipes created by their nutrition and culinary arts experts. The book is a comprehensive guide designed for those who love cooking healthy meals and want to improve their cooking from the comfort of their own kitchen.

Speaking at the launch in Harare earlier this week, Cimas iGo department head Willmore Kapuyanyika said the book was essential to prevent non-communicable diseases.

“This cookbook is important for efforts to prevent noncommunicable diseases such as stroke, cancers, heart disease, diabetes and kidney disease because it provides healthy, nutrient-rich recipes that are easy to follow,” he said.

In an interview, iGo dietitian Kudzai Vere told NewsDay that they have put together a collection of 30 recipes to dispel the myth that healthy foods are boring, as they offer nutritious and healthy foods.

“Healthy food doesn’t have to taste bad!” “The iGo Cookbook demystifies nutrition, providing solutions to chronic illnesses while keeping meals delicious,” she said.
