iFixit and Microsoft work to bring you official Xbox parts

“Never take case for an answer” ~ iFixit

iFixit defends the right to repair and knowledge sharing. It’s more than a site to find repair guides; it is also a market for affordable tools and quality spare parts. Now, iFixit is partnering with Microsoft to sell original Xbox parts for Series X and S.

As spotted by The Verge, official support for the Xbox Series S and X was added recently. This means that there are now comprehensive guides as well as official parts. There are also unofficial parts, but iFixit reveals this by adding a green label to official parts. iFixit also offers a specific toolkit just for Xbox fans, which includes all the tools required for an Xbox. Elizabeth Chamberlain, iFixit’s chief sustainability officer, told The Verge that their company is excited to work with Microsoft to keep more devices running and “out of the trash heap.”

iFixit defends the public’s right to repair. They encourage people to learn how to repair their own devices, replace parts rather than entire items, and share their knowledge with the community.

If you go to iFixit’s parts portal, you will find a complete list of all available game console parts. iFixit supports more than just Xbox Series X and S.

Other supported consoles:

  • Xbox One X Parts
  • Xbox One S spare parts
  • Xbox One Parts
  • Xbox 360 S spare parts
  • Xbox 360 E spare parts
  • Xbox 360 Parts
  • Xbox controller parts
  • Xbox Series X Digital Edition Parts

In addition to Xbox Coins, iFixit also offers Nintendo, PlayStation, and Steam Deck Coins. All of the above are unofficial, but they are available and of suitable quality to use on your devices. In an age where devices are so often thrown away at the end of their life, it’s great to see companies like Microsoft and iFixit teaming up. This partnership extends beyond Xbox and extends to other Microsoft devices.
