BPSC issues important notice on 70th CCE exam, calls allegations of server issues ‘baseless’: check details here

BPSC CCE 70th Exam Date: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued a notification regarding the 70th Combined Competitive Examination (BPSC 70th CCE). According to the notice, the commission rejected complaints about problems in the portal. Earlier, the BPSC was informed that a server fault had prevented a large number of candidates from submitting their applications, leading to requests to extend the registration period.
The registration process for the 70th CCE of the BPSC began on September 23, 2024 and closed on September 28, 2024, with applications initially accepted until October 18, 2024. Considering the interest of the applicants, the commission extended the deadline until November 4, 2024. 2024.
The official notice states, “During the said period, a total of 4.80 lakh applications have been received, out of which 1.30 lakh applications have been received with fees in the last 4 days, which automatically indicates that complaints regarding fault in the server are unfounded. Concerning the extension of the date of the examination, it is pertinent to clarify that the date of the said examination has been fixed keeping in view the examination dates predetermined by the Union Public Service Commission/Public Service Commission state and other examination institutions. The notice further clarified that in the larger interest of 4.80 lakh candidates, the 70th Integrated Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination would be conducted on the scheduled date, December 13, 2024, in a single shift.

According to reports, the BPSC issued a clarification on the same day a delegation of protesting aspirants met senior officials of the commission, demanding an extension of the exam date. Candidates claimed that technical problems had prevented thousands of students from submitting their application forms. They also advocated the “one team, one paper” format and opposed the standardization method. In response, the commission confirmed that the 70th BPSC CEC would follow the old model and be held in a single day.
The commission has already released the admit cards of the candidates registered for the 70th CCE of BPSC. Initially, the commission had announced 1,957 vacancies, but this figure was later increased to 2,027. The 70th CEC is scheduled to be held on December 13, 2024, in a single shift from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
