Trym restart increases North Sea production

Oslo, December 9, 2024 – DNO ASA, the Norwegian oil and gas operator, today announced that its operated Trym field, on Norwegian license PL147 in the North Sea (DNO 50%), is back in production after a five-year shutdown during which TotalEnergies redeveloped the Tyra field infrastructure in the Danish North Sea to which Trym is connected.

First commissioned in 2011, Trym is expected to contribute 3,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) net to the DNO at the plateau. The remaining reserves are estimated at two million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe) net for the DNO.

The capacity available on the Trym submarine model represents other opportunities. The Company is currently evaluating a development of the 2013 Trym Sør discovery containing recoverable resources of approximately two net Mboe for DNO, potentially adding production from early 2027.

Additionally, DNO has identified nearby exploration prospects that could be drilled from the Trym subsea model, potentially extending its life.
