The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday issued new baggage guidelines, prohibiting passengers traveling to Pakistan from other countries from bringing items in large quantities.

Here is the image of the FBR notification.

The notification states that recommendations on changes to the “commercial quantity” can be made within seven days.

The FBR also said that they would not be accepted after the stipulated deadline.

According to the notification, passengers will be allowed to take only one mobile phone from abroad for their personal use, while other phones will be confiscated.

Besides, goods imported from abroad will be considered for commercial use if they are worth more than $1,200, the FBR said.

The FBR, in the notification, added that the additional items will not be released after payment of duties, taxes and redemption fines.
