Two unions ratify contract agreements with national railway negotiating group

ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Carrier Conference announced today that the Transportation Communications Union and the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen have ratified new five-year agreements.

The agreements ratified with TCU and BRC follow the pattern established by previous local agreements between several rail carriers and unions. The agreements reached by the NCCC followed the model established by some of its members, which involved five-year agreements that included an overall salary increase of 18.8%, improvements to health and welfare benefits without an increase in employee contributions and access to more vacations. earlier in the worker’s career.
