Disney Dreamlight Valley Players Agree Feature Is Long Overdue

Since its launch, Disney Dreamlight Valley has received a fair share of updates and new content additions that keep the game fresh. In addition to introducing new characters, quests, and storylines, each update is packed with bug fixes and quality of life improvements, including the recently added floating islands. But despite all these cool new features and fixes, players still have some complaints to Gameloft when it comes to the game’s usability. Disney Dreamlight Valley grind.

When it comes to checking off Dreamlight Duties and forming friendships with new friends, players can end up spending a lot of time on various tasks in the game. Whether it’s collecting a specific gemstone for a gift favorite daily or serve up a much-desired recipe, many tasks require players to keep certain details in mind in order to progress. For some, it’s fun, but for players with bad memories, it would be nice if the game did a little more to help us keep track.

Some recent additions, including the ability to track Dreamlight-specific tasks and quests, have helped alleviate this frustration. But when it comes to all those recipes we’ve learned during our days in the Valley, on the Isle of Eternity and beyond, players always have grades.

With two resident chefs in the Valley, there are plenty of recipes to unlock and follow these days. While this isn’t a problem when players are experimenting or simply attempting to create a single dish for a quest or character, it’s a different story when managing multiple orders at Chez Rémy and Tiana’s Palace . Depending on the time of day, several guests can wait to order in these two establishments, and of course, it is up to the player to satisfy them.

The problem ? The game doesn’t offer any good way to keep tabs on these multiple controls. Once you arrive at the kitchen area, guest order pop-ups are out of sight and, for many, out of mind. This makes batching all orders at once virtually impossible, unless dreamers recruit their own note-taking tools – and yes, some players actually report keeping a notepad next to them when they take orders at Chez Rémy due to the lack of clear organization of recipes.

Additionally, finding a specific recipe can be tricky, even when players know what they’re looking for. There is no search option and recipes are divided into categories, where recipes are not ordered alphabetically or in one big list. This makes it very easy to skip the recipe that players are searching for repeatedly, leading to wasted time and a lot of frustration. To that end, players really want to see changes to the game’s recipe menu.
